Meditation: Just Breathe

As you breastfeed your child, bring your attention to your breath. Observe how you breathe in and breathe out.

Take 5 conscious breaths. Counting: inhale, exhale... 1. Inhale, exhale... 2. Inhale, exhale... 3. Inhale, exhale... 4. Inhale, exhale... 5.

Now shift your attention to the breath of your child. Observe how he or she breaths in and out. Consciously observe 5 breaths of your little one, counting them as your child breathes.

Continue to alternate your attention between your breath and the breath of your child.
